Linear Guides for Automation — Pick-and-Place, Gantries and Slides
Automation covers everything from a 200 mm pick-and-place slide to a multi-metre gantry. The guide is chosen by payload, stroke and how often someone can get to it with a grease gun. The three series below cover most of that range.
What goes wrong on this axis
- Payload and overhang changing from one station to the next
- Axes that are hard to reach for lubrication
- Short delivery times when a line is being rebuilt

FAQ
| How do I pick between HG and MGN? | MGN is a miniature guide for light heads and short strokes. HG is the machine-tool guide: higher load, higher rigidity, larger mounting pattern. If the carriage weighs more than a few kilos, start with HG. |
| What information do you need for a quote? | Model or size, quantity, accuracy grade, preload, rail length or stroke, and the mounting orientation. A drawing is helpful but not required. |
| Can you supply a matched block and rail set? | Yes. Matched sets are the only way to get SP/UP accuracy or ZB preload. |
